July 2023

I got some comfortable overalls with some of my birthday money from my mom.  It is not something I usually wear, but I like it!
Gideon lost one of his front teeth!
Gideon is reading the book that my mom sent to us of the Storybook about her life she has been working on for a year.  It was fun to go through the pictures and read the stories from her life.  My mom is a pretty amazing woman.
Malachi lost another tooth as well!  The boys were keeping the tooth fairy busy in July!

Malachi wanted to climb up Sam, and enjoyed being up so high!
Malachi was helping Caleb do his pull ups (I think that was cheating)
We watched a friend's dog "Abby" a couple times in July.  The kids loved having the tiny chihuahua around.  Gideon loved her a little too much.  Abby wanted mostly to just sit on the couch by Betsy or me but would occasionally sit by the boys.
Gideon was soooooo happy the dog finally wanted to sit by him.
Samuel got to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead on his Nauvoo trip.

Samuel arm wrestling with the other guys on the Nauvoo trip
We processed through a lot of strawberries

Travis helped with the 4th of July flag ceremony at our ward's pancake breakfast

Even Travis had fun in the foam pit!

My mom and dad had dinner with Joseph and Jessica while they were at the MTC getting ready to go to California for the mission with the YA
Caleb and Samuel got to go on another baptisms for the dead outing.
Caleb got to go with some of his friends to Typhoon Texas waterpark, they all had free passes from the band trip that got cancelled.
The first week of July, Samuel got to go to Nauvoo with the stake youth.  They went for a whole week!  Samuel had a great time and learned a lot about our church's history and had a testimony-building experience.  The first week of July, Gideon and Malachi got to go to a Vacation Bible School at a local church, and had a great time.  The last day was a family fun day, and they had free shaved ice, foam pit, inflatable water slides and lots of fun.  We got blessed with lots of free strawberries and made tons of strawberry things, jam, fruit roll-ups, butter, sorbet, tarts, and more.  Gideon was in heaven, he loved strawberries so much, and to be told he could have as many as he wanted just made his day.  Travis and I went to an LDS chaplain get-together with the military relations missionaries and brought some of the strawberry sorbet, and it was a hit.  I finished my school semester by July 21st!  It was so nice to have more free time to spend with the kids and play games and go on outings.
