I'm in the kitchen, and Joseph comes in and says:
"Mom, I'm going to give you one week to get me a new video game"
Mom: "Let me know how that works out for you"
Daddy: "Joseph your a Scrawny boy who gives ultimatums"
Joseph: "I'm not scrawny...Mom what does scrawny mean?"
Mom: "It means you're not very strong, with little muscles"
Joseph: "I'm not scrawny see (he goes over and starts pushing the couch around the room)"
Daddy: "Joseph do you know what an ultimatum is?"
Joseph(yelling): Of course I do, IT'S RED AND JUICY, AND SOMETIMES YELLOW!
At this both Travis and I busted up laughing so hard. Samuel even came over to me, to make sure I was okay, I was laughing so hard.
Daddy: Joseph, that's a tomato, I said ultimatum.
Joseph : Oh

I did it!
Yeah!!! I made my Grandma's carmel, and 1 hour and 45 minutes later, and two tired and sore arms from stirring the entire time later, it turned out perfectly!!! Yummy, carmel never tasted so good.
Christmas party!
making cookies
I was making cookies while the older kids were at school, and I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, Samuel was helping himself to the cookies, he looked so cute, I had to take a couple pictures of him. This week the kids and I have been making oodles of cookies to go christmas caroling on this coming Monday, we've been having lots of fun listening to christmas music and baking up a storm. I love Christmas!

Thanksgiving weekend
Travis had the weekend off, so we had a nice Thanksgiving. We had our feast with our neighbors, and a good dinner. We had Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, and apple cider. We had pie and ice cream for dessert, it was all very delicous. The kids had fun playing with their kids, and we had a good time. Samuel, Betsy, and Austin each got a little sick, so we didn't go out and do too much on Saturday. But on Friday, Travis went out shopping and got some good deals, and The kids and I decorated the house for Christmas, then we all went bowling and had fun, except for a little samuel wrangling, (thankfully I only had to chase him down the bowling lane once, boy that thing sure is slippery).
Samuel's black eye
Samuel fell off the bar stool in the kitchen, and bumped the side of his eye, on the way down, which turned into a black eye. Although it doesn't seem to bother him at all, he has been a very spoiled baby, since evey time I look at his little face I can't resist giving him what he wants. Travis says he had black eyes like that all the time when he was young, so Samuel must take after his father. This happened last Tuesday, so it is getting a lot better, and will probably be all healed up soon.
