Samuel's "Time Out"

We we're at our friend's house, David and Heidi Laird for a BBQ and they have a dog run in their backyard that is an upper level and is next to their roof, well samuel kept climbing up there, and kept getting into trouble, so Travis discovered this hook on the wall, and hung him up there to keep him out of trouble. Samuel thought this was pretty funny, and looked so cute I had to snap a picture of him.

Joseph's Adventures

Last week Joseph got 10 spider bites on his legs, they got infected and really swollen, so I hauled all 4 children to the urgent care place, where Joseph was given prescriptions to fill for antibiotics and benadryl. We went to the clinic on base, where we waited for probably 20-30 minutes constantly chasing samuel down, until our number was called. Then I was informed that they couldn't fill my prescription there, I would have to take it to the army hospital. So, we got back in the car and drove over there, then finally got Joseph his medicine. Joseph had zero energy, so it was kind of nice in a way, but at the same time I felt bad that he didn't feel good. I'm sure he enjoyed laying on my bed watching movies all day! So, Joseph was finally starting to feel better, then he poked himself in the eye with a sharp knife (he was playing with them, even though he knows not to) It was red and swollen , and looked like there was a scratch in his eye, and he said he couldn't see well, so I called the nurse line, who told me to take him to the ER. So I called the girl down the street and she came over and watched the little kids, while I took Joseph to the hospital. By the time we got there, and we're actually called in for our turn, Joseph eye looked much better, and they said he would be fine, and that he was a lucky boy, and to not play with sharp objects.

Austin and Betsy dance camp

Here is Austin and Betsy's dance camp recital thatthey did. They had a good time, although Betsy got a little stubborn toward the end and wouldn't dance(she is the one sitting on the floor), she still remembers it fondly and had a good time.

Summer Fun

Austin, Betsy, and Samuel were playing all together in a 'makeshift' pool, that I had made for them, from a tub from the garage so that I could

mow the lawn with the weed wacker. It worked well, they played and I got the lawn mowed, and they we're so cute I had to take a picture of them. I couldn't fit Joseph in their too, or that would have been perfect.

Daddy don't go!

Samuel has started getting really upset whenever Daddy goes to work. He really wants to go with Daddy whenever he leaves, he says "Daddy, Daddy, Car, car, Now!" and drags me over to the garage door where Travis comes and goes from work. It is really sweet to see how much he wants to be with his Daddy, and I know it makes Travis feel good too! He even came home for lunch today, and after he had his food, drove him over to the park and played with him for a few minutes, then brought him back home, and went to work. When they got home, Samuel said "Daddy, car, more!" He is always asking for Daddy, and is sooooo happy whenever he gets home. Also the dog in the pictures"Ralphie" has been passed on from father to son. Travis carried this stuffed animal around with him all the time, and his sister Maia had to sew the head back on numerous times. Samuel now sleeps with it every night, and nap, and I've had to sew it once already.

El Paso

We love living together as a family again. We've been having a lot of fun this summer, going swimming, and doing free activities on base. Austin and Joseph did T-ball and Baseball and had a really enjoyable time. We planted a garden shortly after arriving and have been enjoying a bountiful harvest. We are enjoying our new ward, Travis was just put in as Elder's quorum president, so that has been keeping him pretty busy lately. I'm looking forward to school starting again, but we are enjoying not being too busy.
