Malachi had a lot of fun playing with his friend Dax.  

After Malachi's mole removal, he told the Dr. he wanted an eye patch so that he could be a pirate for the rest of the day, they were happy to comply with his request, and Malachi got to be a pirate for the rest of the day.  

Malachi got his mole removed above his left eye; he was a great patient!!  He was talking to the Dr. and nurses and telling them jokes, and stories and making them laugh.

April Fool's Day dinner, (most of it got eaten before I remembered to take a picture), but there was gummy bacon, donuts (apple slices with yogurt), and gummy crackers and cheese.

The tornado that was headed to our neighborhood, and almost hit us.  

Another storm!  The tornado almost got to us but dissipated just before it hit us.  Malachi said it was because of his prayer he said.  We still had a crazy storm, thunder, lightning, wind, and hail.  We also lost power for about an hour. Luckily, I got Gideon and Malachi from school just before they shut it down, (we walked home), and the tornado sirens went off as we were walking home.  We made it home before the storm hit, but the other boys got stuck at their schools and had to shelter there for the duration of the storm.  They finally made it home from school about an hour and a half later safe and sound.  

Nothing like a threat of baseball-sized hail to get everybody working together fast.  Also, a reminder that in Texas we really should keep our garage clean enough to fit a car inside.  In 30 minutes, we had the backyard stuff brought in, and the garage cleaned out enough to barely fit the van inside.  (I didn't think it was possible without Travis's help (he's out in the field) but Samuel stepped up and made it happen).  We didn't end up with any baseball-sized hail, but we did get some regular-sized hail and an awe-inspiring thunderstorm. 

      As you can see April was full of storms, Malachi's procedure, April Fool's Day, easter, and General Conference.   We did a General Conference store and that really helped the kids pay attention during conference, they had lots of different things to help keep their hands busy, like coloring, sculpting with clay, activity books, and other crafts.
