Samuel wearing the sweater his Grandma Hardy knitted for him
This past week has been really busy and really tiring and exhausting for me, so I'm just going to put down some of the highlights
1. Travis vacuumed the Oregon Christmas tree for an hour, to get rid of loose needles, and then redecorated the tree to his liking. It turned out really nice
2. Samuel did something to his thumb, it looks to me like a second/third degree burn, because the top half of the thumb is swollen hard and yellow. A couple days later the outer skin layer came off, and fluid came out. Samuel pulled the dead skin off, and now has some raw skin underneath, and he wouldn't let me cover it with bandage, but when he went to school, the nurse called me and told me she was covering it with gauze so it wouldn't get infected.
3. Samuel had a dentist appointment to fix some cavities in his teeth, and put on a crown. He freaked out, and cried and fought the whole time. I had to lay down on him to hold his legs and hands down. It was miserable.
4. The night after the dentist appointment, we had to keep Samuel awake until 1:30am and then we could let him sleep until 5:30am, then we had to wake him up and take him to the hospital for a sleep-deprived eeg test. It was difficult to keep Samuel awake, but we managed to accomplish it. He was so exhausted that as soon as the technician said he could sleep, he was out within 5 seconds. After the test, he really wanted to go to school, so I dropped him off, and told his teacher to call me if he was getting too tired, and I would come pick him up.
5. Caleb has been fighting off colds for a month and a half now, and has not been sleeping well at all, and he's getting worse again, so I have been exhausted, especially after staying up with Samuel too (Travis stayed up with him part of the time)
6. Today I spent 7 hours at Dr. offices, and pharmacy's getting Austin, Joseph, and Caleb seen. Austin and Joseph had strep throat, and Joseph also had eczema and an ear infection. Caleb was still wheezing, despite my giving him his inhaler every four hours, so the Dr. prescribed steroids for the next 4 days. He forgot to check for strep for Caleb, but said his throat was red, so I need to take Caleb back in the morning for a strep test.
7. Samuel got a sweater from his Grandma Hardy that he loves, and has been wearing it all day, and is wearing it to bed.
