I have made a goal this year to update this weekly, instead of a couple times a year. We just got through the first week in January. New Year's Eve was on Sunday this year so we didn't do much, we just played games together, Travis fell asleep at 9pm, and I fell asleep by 11pm, all the boys stayed up until midnight except Gideon, just playing games (Samuel did go play some games with church friends). The fireworks were so loud though, it did wake me up at midnight. I had a bunch of drama with parents in Activity girls in primary, and had to deal with a lot of messages and phone calls for a couple days, and meetings with leaders, and talking with the bishopric to figure things out. We also had a 2 1/2 hour presidency meeting on Thursday night to discuss things as well. It definitly makes me realize that even though we are all trying to follow Christ and be more like him, we all make mistakes. The kids started school on Thursday, and Gideon started taking his ADHD medication after not taking it all of Christmas break. He ended up falling alseep in school each day, it makes him sleepy at first, but then he seems fine. I also took him the the ear dr. on Thursday. The Dr. removed the tube and dried wax/blood that was stuck in his ear. He said he has a lot of fluid build up in both ears, and needs more tubes put in, and his adenoids removed. He said he probably hasn't been able to hear very well for a while. Which makes sense, Gideon has told me many times that he couldn't hear what I said. Caleb brought home chocolate bars to sell for $2 each for his band He brought home 3 boxes becuase that's how many he needs to sell to be able to go on his band trip in May. He went outside and sold about 1/2 a box sitting in front of our house with a sign until it was dark. Travis took Austin, and Caleb on a date to see the new "Wonka" movie, and to dinner at Cracker Barrel, they had a good time. The holiday is over, and we are back to everything being pretty busy.
