Operation Rising Star Wk #3
Well Travis and I didn't make it to the next week, but that's okay. We had a lot of fun doing it, and it is a relief to not have to do all the work to learn songs, and go through the nerves of performing them. We will still continue our date nights, and be part of the audience for the next two weeks.

Operation Rising Star Week #2
Travis and I made it to the next week again, although they actually didn't eliminate anyone, because two people dropped out. We had fun singing our country songs, especially the ones we sang to each other on our wedding day. I still have a lot of nervous issues, so I will probably be eliminated soon, but I'm hoping to stay as long as I can, so Travis and I can have out date night.

Operation Rising Star
Travis and I decided to compete in the Operation Rising Star contest here at Fort Bliss. It is very nerve-wracking, I've never done anything like this. Here are the videos of our first performances. We both made it to next week, where we get to sing a country song. Yeah!! We like country.

Back to school
Yeah!! The kids are in school again. The girls are both happy and loving school so far, they both love their teachers, and Austin is so excited to homework. Joseph is happy to be in school also, and isn't very excited about homework at all. Joseph was out the door too fast to be in this picture, but I'll try to get one of him up soon.

Samuel's "Time Out"
Joseph's Adventures
Last week Joseph got 10 spider bites on his legs, they got infected and really swollen, so I hauled all 4 children to the urgent care place, where Joseph was given prescriptions to fill for antibiotics and benadryl. We went to the clinic on base, where we waited for probably 20-30 minutes constantly chasing samuel down, until our number was called. Then I was informed that they couldn't fill my prescription there, I would have to take it to the army hospital. So, we got back in the car and drove over there, then finally got Joseph his medicine. Joseph had zero energy, so it was kind of nice in a way, but at the same time I felt bad that he didn't feel good. I'm sure he enjoyed laying on my bed watching movies all day! So, Joseph was finally starting to feel better, then he poked himself in the eye with a sharp knife (he was playing with them, even though he knows not to) It was red and swollen , and looked like there was a scratch in his eye, and he said he couldn't see well, so I called the nurse line, who told me to take him to the ER. So I called the girl down the street and she came over and watched the little kids, while I took Joseph to the hospital. By the time we got there, and we're actually called in for our turn, Joseph eye looked much better, and they said he would be fine, and that he was a lucky boy, and to not play with sharp objects.

Austin and Betsy dance camp
Here is Austin and Betsy's dance camp recital thatthey did. They had a good time, although Betsy got a little stubborn toward the end and wouldn't dance(she is the one sitting on the floor), she still remembers it fondly and had a good time.
